Community Hubs serve as gateways that connect families with each other, with their school, and with existing services. Hubs welcome all migrants, including fathers, however women with young children are their primary client group.
Hubs aim to strengthen communities by providing opportunities for individuals to feel a sense of belonging and to take part in activities and programs that build their skills, and to connect them with other members of the community.
The Community Hub at Bankstown Public School focuses on:
- Building a sense of belonging
- Developing our strengths
- Providing pathway to opportunity
Together at the Hub we thrive to embrace an empowering and nurturing environment, where we can grow and learn together.
The Community Hub hosts Playtime each term in the Bankstown Public School Hall. Playtime is an important opportunity for pre-school aged children in the community to develop skills in a fun environment. It is also a wonderful way for parents and carers to build relationships within the community.
